New Metalforming Stakes

I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Potter this weekend. He is a local metalsmith who is currently milling metalworking stakes and offering them for sale. These are well made and he is producing a wide variety and at a reasonable cost.

He has been advertizing on Craigslist and eBay.Check them out.

Thank you for the information. I'm bookmarking that for future reference. Normally I make my own stakes, but he has some there that would be difficult for me to make with the equipment that I have. I do "silversmithing" in brass. You can see some of my work at http://www.shelbyvision.com.

Steve,

Great site! Your work shows a true understanding of the metal used.

Thanks, Fred. I'm not a blogger, but I get "Google Alerts", which alerts me whenever the word "metalsmith" appears on the web. Most of them are of no interest to me, but sometimes there are gems, such as your blog.

For anyone coming across this helpful post years later - as I am - you can now find Kevin's complete line of stakes, as well as his hydraulic press, and many other wonderful tools at:

Visit and drool. :-)
