I have made the first step in creating a blog and later a website of my work and my passion. I am a self taught metalsmith with a desire to share what I know and understand. This blog is a beginning.

- My interest in metalwork began during the 70's and has continued. I also collect handwrought metal as objects of study and admiration. My work is concentrated in the processes of forging, raising and repousse/chasing. I work as a mechanical designer to support my family and teach metalsmithing workshop a few times a year. I am in debt to all those who preceded me and those who continue to keep this craft/art alive.

I am a beginning metalsmith, largely self-taught, with just two basic classes under my belt. It is so reassuring to see the work and hear the words of metalsmiths such as yourself, who are also, "self-taught." Thank you for creating this blog.
